President ECOSF Addresses the University of Sindh- Thatta Campus Students and Faculty - December 08, 2015

On the invitation of Pro-Vice Chancellor of the Thatta Campus of the University of Sindh (Jamshoro), Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz Hussain Solangi, the President ECOSF Prof. Manzoor Soomro visited the university campus on December 08, 2015 on the occasion of graduation of their first batch of graduates. The VC of the main University Prof. Abida Tahirani presided over the function while Senator Ms. Sasui Palijo was the Chief Guest of the function.Other guests included sitting and former general Directors of the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO) Karachi- Pakistan.

All dignitaries spoke and congratulated the graduating students and their parents as well as teachers. The occasion also marked the launch of Centre for Coastal Studies in collaboration with the NIO and a Chinese research institute.

President ECOSF Prof. Manzoor Soomro speaking on the occasion congratulated the University of Sindh, the Pro-VC of Thatta Campus Prof. Sarfaraz Solangi for completing the land mark of first batch being graduated. He then congratulated the students and their teachers and parents for the success. Dr. Soomro also spoke for improving the standard of education at school level in the province and said that it was also a Corporate Social Responsibility of a university to nurture schools around the area. He also shared with the audience the activities of ECOSF especially of the inquiry based science education (IBSE) at schools and offered the university for assistance should they begin the Faculty of Education at the campus.
