The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training held a cordial meeting with the Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran

The Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, held a meeting with H.E. Dr. Hossein Simaee Sarraf, Minister of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during his official visit to Pakistan. The meeting reflected the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in education, science, research, and innovation.
Welcoming the Iranian delegation, the Federal Minister expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for the close ties between the two neighbouring countries. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the implementation of existing Memoranda of Understanding between Pakistani and Iranian higher education institutions, including the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), and encouraged similar collaborations among other universities.
Discussions focused on teacher education, curriculum development, digital learning, artificial intelligence, educational technology, technical and vocational education and training, joint research, faculty exchanges, and student mobility. The Federal Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to implementing the education-related decisions of the Pakistan-Iran Joint Commission.
His Excellency Dr. Hossein Simaee Sarraf appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the Government of Pakistan. Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination and explore new avenues of cooperation to promote academic excellence and people-to-people contacts.
