Regional Webinar on Sustainable Transport and Electric Mobility in the ECO Region
The ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) and the ECO Clean Energy Center (CECECO) are jointly organizing a regional webinar on “Sustainable Transport and Electric Mobility in the ECO Region” on September 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM Baku Time / 12:00 PM Pakistan Time.
Transport is a major and growing source of energy demand and emissions across the ECO region. As Member Countries advance their climate, energy and mobility agendas, electric mobility offers an important pathway to reduce fossil-fuel dependence, improve air quality, strengthen energy security and support the transition towards cleaner transport systems.
The webinar will bring together policymakers, experts and practitioners to examine the transition from global experience to regional action. Key discussions will include:
- Decarbonizing Road Transport in the ECO Region: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities
- Policies for the Electrification of Road Transport: A Global Perspective
- Scaling Up Electric Vehicle Adoption in the ECO Region: A Regional Perspective
The session will also explore enabling policies, charging infrastructure, decarbonisation strategies, investment needs and opportunities in transport sector for enhanced regional cooperation among ECO Member Countries.
Representatives of government institutions, academia, industry, development partners and professionals working in transport, energy and climate are warmly invited to participate.
