About the Speaker:
Dr. Ganigar Chen has been a pivotal figure at the National Science Museum (NSM) Thailand since 2000. Beginning as a science educator and international relations officer, she has spearheaded museum education, public programs, and science communication initiatives. As Vice President of Education, Outreach, and Partnership, she oversees exhibition development, popular science media, and events like science film festivals and television programs. Dr. Chen is deeply involved in national projects such as FameLab, Young Thai Science Ambassador, and Science Idol, fostering engagement among scientists and students.
Her leadership extends to roles as an executive committee member of the Science Society of Thailand and the Thailand Little Scientist House Project. Internationally, she has served as Vice President of the Asia Pacific Network of Science and Technology Centers and the Belt and Road International Science Education Coordinating Consortium, and she advises Dimensions magazine by ASTC. A sought-after guest lecturer, Dr. Chen’s expertise lies in civic science literacy, museum outreach, and informal learning.
