Shiraz, May 26, 2026 – Prof. Seyed Komail Tayebi, President ECOSF accompanied by Prof. Ali Akbar Safavi, Faculty Member of Shiraz University and Chair of the ICELET-2026 Conference, visited Shiraz University and met with senior university officials in Shiraz, Iran.

During the meeting, Prof. Tayebi highlighted ECOSF’s role in promoting research, teaching, and scientific exchanges among academic institutions and scientific centers across the ECO Member Countries. The discussions also focused on opportunities for strengthening regional scientific collaboration, building joint research networks, and promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience among academics and researchers, particularly in view of the shared cultural, historical, and scientific linkages among ECO Member Countries and Shiraz University’s interest in expanding international cooperation with neighboring countries.
