The President of ECOSF visited the office of Silicon Village Islamabad along with Dr. Aftab Ahmed, President of the National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS), and Dr. Kubra Mehmood, Founder and CEO of Planet Bio Labs on 20 June 2026.

Mr. Abid Kabir Cheema, CEO of Silicon Village Islamabad, warmly welcomed the guests. During the meeting, productive discussions were held on potential collaboration in technology, innovation, and information sharing within the ECO region. Accordingly, President ECOSF highlighted opportunities for partnerships between institutions working in similar domains and explored ways to strengthen relationships with technology parks and innovation ecosystems in Iran, Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and other ECO members.

Mr. Abid Kabir Cheema expressed his commitment to building strong partnerships with regional institutions and emphasized the importance of fostering cooperation to promote technological advancement and innovation across the ECO member countries.

The meeting concluded with a shared vision for developing long-term collaborations and enhancing regional connectivity in science, technology, and innovation. Mr. Abid Kabir Cheema presented a shield to the President of ECOSF.
