Science Education Key Programs

  1. Capacity Building for Science Educators – ECOSF organizes regular workshops, training sessions, webinars and seminars to empower science educators with modern pedagogical techniques. These initiatives emphasize interactive and student-centered learning approaches, ensuring that teachers can effectively engage young minds in scientific exploration.
  2. ECOSF proudly hosts the Science Popularization Lecture Series, a dynamic virtual platform designed to ignite curiosity and foster a culture of scientific inquiry among diverse audiences across ECO member countries. This series brings together renowned scientists, educators, and innovators to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lectures on a variety of scientific topics and their real-world applications. Lectures cover a wide array of subjects, including cutting-edge technologies, environmental sustainability, space exploration, health sciences, and more.
  3. STEM Summer CampsECOSF actively promotes STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education by supporting innovation competitions, science fairs, and the development of educational materials. The foundation also hosts summer STEM camps, providing an interactive learning experience for students through hands-on scientific activities. Participants explore various STEM fields, conduct experiments, and enhance their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  4. Inquiry-Based Science Education (IBSE) – Launched in 2015, this flagship program has transformed science teaching across the ECO region. By promoting hands-on, inquiry-driven learning, IBSE enables students to explore scientific concepts through observation, experimentation, and reflection.
