ECOSF Delegation Visits Tashkent State Agrarian University to Strengthen Academic Cooperation
Tashkent, 18 December 2025 — The ECOSF delegation visited the Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU), where it was warmly received by Dr. Narzullo Oblomuradov, Rector of the University.

During the visit, Dr. Narzullo Oblomuradov provided an overview of the University, highlighting its historical background, academic strengths, and evolving role in advancing agricultural education and research in Uzbekistan. The Rector also hosted the ECOSF delegation on a tour of the University’s newly established facilities, showcasing recent investments in infrastructure and research capacity.

The ECOSF delegation expressed sincere appreciation for the generous hospitality and warm reception extended by the University leadership. Both sides engaged in a productive and meaningful dialogue on strengthening institutional cooperation, exploring opportunities for joint research, academic exchange, and enhanced participation of the University in ECOSF’s regional scientific programmes.

Dr. Dilfuza Egamberdieva, Deputy Director, International Center for Strategic Development and Research in Food and Agriculture (ISCAD), Ministry of Agriculture, Uzbekistan and Professor of Biotechnology at the TSAU also participated in the meeting. Prof. Seyed Komail Tayebi briefed Dr. Narzullo Oblomuradov and the other attendees to the programs and activities of the ECOSF and emphasized the advantages of collaboration between ECOSF and TSAU, which aims to promote joint research initiatives in critical areas such as food security, climate change, ecology, and water resource management. Prof. Tayebi also expressed his sincere appreciation to Dr. Egamberdieva for her excellence support and generous hospitality in Tashkent.
The visit concluded with mutual interest in deepening collaboration between ECOSF and Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU) to support innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable agricultural development within the ECO region.
Tashkent State Agrarian University (TSAU) is the leading higher education and scientific center in Uzbekistan’s agricultural sector, established in 1930. It specializes in education and research in agriculture, plant protection, food safety, biotechnology, and agronomy. The university has eight faculties, including Agronomy, Fruit and Vegetable Growing and Viticulture, Plant Protection and Agrochemistry, Zooengineering, and Forestry and Landscape Design. TSAU actively collaborates with over 175 international institutions and organizations, including the European Union (Erasmus+), the World Bank, and the FAO.
