The ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF)-the specialized agency of ECO with the mandate to promote cooperation in the field of science, engineering & technology- has been rendered operational after more than sixteen years. The inaugural ceremony of the Foundation was organized on the occasion of the 1st Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the ECOSF preceded by a High-Level Experts Group Meeting held on Dec 19-20, 2011 in Islamabad, I.R. of Pakistan.

The establishment of the Foundation is a milestone for ECO as well as for its membership. On this auspicious occasion, the Secretary-General expresses his profound felicitations to the Member States.
