September 25, 2018: CEO Pak Alliance for Maths and Science (PAMS) Mr. Salman Naveed called upon the President ECOSF to discuss various programmes of PAMS and to seek guidance and cooperation of ECOSF for joint promotion of Science culture in Pakistan. July 24, 2018: President ECOSF was called upon by Dr. Mirza Habib Ali, Director (Research Support) of Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) and Acting Chairman of Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR). The two institutions have been collaborating with ECOSF for promotion of common goals. Dr. Ali discussed areas of future collaboration with special focus on IBSE in Pakistan.

May 16, 2018: Prof. Dr. G. A. Miana, Rector/Associate Dean, Riphah International University and senior Fellow – Academy of Sciences visited ECOSF Secretariat and called upon Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro. The brief on Programs was shared and the possible collaboration was discussed.

May 15, 2018: Team of Trainee Librarians along with Representative of PASTIC (Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Center) visited ECOSF secretariat and met with the President ECOSF Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro. The group of librarians from across Pakistan is participating in a workshop on modern library tools organised by PASTIC. Prof. Soomro welcomed them and gave a brief overview of the functions and programmes of the foundation and encouraged them to interact with their counterparts in other ECO countries as libraries provide major support to S&T researchers.

April 12, 2018: Dr. R. Indarjani Deputy Director for SEAMEO QITEP in Science, Indonesia, paying a visit to ECOSF secretariat. She shared the programmes of SEAMEO and shown interest to collaborate with ECOSF for joint activities.

28 March 2018: President of the International Council for the Life Sciences (ICLS) based USA, Mr. Terrence Taylor called upon the President ECOSF Professor Manzoor Soomro and discussed possibility of putting up a joint research and awareness proposal on Leichmenia parasite and its vector Sand-fly in Pakistan and other ECO countries. The two agreed in principle to prepare a joint proposal for international funding.

26 March 2018: Professor Dr. S. M. Qureshi the former Federal Secretary to the Ministry of Science and Technology and Education and Former Vice Chancellor of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) paid a visit to ECOSF and held a meeting with President ECOSF Prof Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro. Purpose of the visit of Dr. Qureshi was to learn more about ECOSF and its programmes and to seek corporation of ECOSF for their comparative study on the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policies of the Founder Members of ECO, viz., Iran, Turkey and Pakistan. Dr. Qureshi is supervising a Ph.D study on the STI Policies of above three countries. Dr. Soomro warmly welcomed the very senior science policy maker and Manager and assured him all possible support from ECOSF.

29 January 2017: Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan, Member Food Security and Climate Change of Planning Commission called upon President ECOSF to discuss various emerging issues of Climate Change and Food Security in Pakistan. 14 December 2017: Prof. Asghar Muhammadi Fazel, President ECO Institute of Environmental Science and Technology (ECO-IEST) and Advisor to Vice President of Iran for Environment called upon the President ECOSF at his office during the 28th Meeting of Regional Planning Council of ECO in Islamabad. Both the leaders discussed the environmental issues of ECO region and joint programmes. The two ECO institutions are collaborating since 2014.

The Khoj School for Community Education emphasizes on holistic approach to education based on conceptual understanding, logical thinking and creativity. They strive to prepare children to be rational and competitive citizen of tomorrow. This approach is aligned with ECOSF project of Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE) being pursued in the 10 ECO member states. Professor Soomro assured her full support and cooperation in persuasion of inquiry based learning at community schools.
