A Symposium and Workshop on Biowaste Derived Carbons for Waste-to-Bioenergy Conversion and Water Purification is being organized by ECO Science Foundation and National Centre of Excellence in Analytical Chemistry, University of Sindh, from 20-23 February 2017 at Hyderabad, Pakistan. This event will provide a platform to the participants on the various technologies evolved to use biowaste into useful products through carbonization. A large number of international and national speakers are participating in the subject event.  The symposium will follow three workshops to train the junior faculty and student on novel technologies. Following are key areas of the symposium:

• Biocarbons based solid acid catalysts for biofuels conversion.
• Biocarbons for water and wastewater treatment
• Preparation methods of biocarbons.

Economic aspects and entrepreneurial opportunities.
