ECOSF participated in the Global Digital Economy Conference 2023 to Promote International Collaboration and Innovation in Digital Governance

Beijing, July 05, 2023 - The Global Digital Economy Conference 2023 was held in Beijing, with a focus on fostering international collaboration and innovation in the digital economy sector. The three-day event, held from July 4 to July 7 aimed to promote an open innovation network that transcends national boundaries.

GDEC was themed "Data Drives Development, Intelligence Leads the Future" which was co-hosted by several esteemed organizations, including the Beijing municipal government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), and Beijing Technology and Business University (BTBU).

Distinguished speakers from various countries and sectors participated in the event, including Professor Seyed Komail Tayebi, President of the ECO Science Foundation, who was invited as a keynote speaker and representee of Mayor of Isfahan, Iran.

In the opening ceremony, conference highlighted the unveiling of the Global Digital Economy Partnership City cooperation initiative. Beijing and 18 partner cities, including Isfahan-Iran, Abu Dhabi, London, Macao, San Francisco, Vienna, Vientiane, and Zaragoza, jointly released this initiative during the opening ceremony. To commemorate the partnership, videos featuring the Mayor of Isfahan, Iran H.E. Mr. Ali Ghasemzadeh and other city representatives were played, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between cities. It is important to highlight the ECOSF facilitated the virtual participation of Mayor of Isfahan. The President ECOSF was invited to the stage to inaugurate the initiative as representative of Mayor of Isfahan.

During the conference, Chinese officials and overseas guests delivered keynote speeches, addressing various crucial topics such as the significance of economic digitalization, China's leading role in the global digital economy, the development of smart cities, and the necessity of city collaborations. The discussions revolved around harnessing the power of data, leveraging artificial intelligence, and fostering a favorable environment for digital innovation.

As the conference concluded, participants expressed optimism about the future of the digital economy and the potential for transformative change through international cooperation. The event served as a catalyst for driving progress and establishing a foundation for ongoing collaboration, ensuring a prosperous and inclusive digital future for all.
