President ECOSF Participated in Open House and Job Fair at COMSATS University Wah Campus

Prof. Seyed Komail Tayebi, President ECOSF, was invited to attend the closing ceremony of the Open House and Job Fair at the COMSTAS University Wah Campus on Thursday, December 19, 2024. Other notable attendees included Prof. Dr. Jameel un-Nabi, Vice Chancellor of the University of Wah, Dr. Mehdi Taheri, President of Iran Khanah Farhang Rawalpindi, and Mr. Majid Meshki, Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Iran.

In his key speech, Prof. Tayebi briefed the ECOSF as one of the specialized agencies in the ECO region, which concentrates on promoting research and technological development for achieving sustainable development and economic growth in ECO region. ECOSF pursues this goal through development of human recourse capacity for science, technology and innovation and science education in ECO region and strengthening institutional capacity in scientific research and technological development among its members. He then referred to important role of universities and industries cooperation in economic development and job creation. He emphasized such collaboration with national and international organizations in order to prepare students and youth for scientific and technological advancements. 

The Open House and Job Fair was held for graduating students of Fall Semester 2024. A total of 148 students from the Management Sciences and Computer Sciences departments presented 71 Final Year Projects (FYPs), showcasing their skills and expertise to industry professionals. Representatives from over 60 companies attended the event, evaluated projects, conducted interviews, and shortlisted students for jobs and internships.

The event concluded with certificates awarded to the best FYP teams and a vote of thanks from the Campus Director.
