President ECO Science Foundation Visits Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory in Urumqi. July 06, 2017

While being in Urumqi-China during the 2nd Astronomical Silk Road: International Workshop on Astronomy and Archaeoastronomy in China and Central Asia, President ECO Science Foundation Prof. Dr. Manzoor Hussain Soomro took the opportunity to visit Xinjiang Astronomical Observatory on July 06, 2017.  Prof. Soomro held a brief  meeting with the Director of observatory Dr. Na Wang, and other colleagues. In principle it was agreed upon to join hands with the observatory of ECO member states emphasizing that some of the oldest observatories were established and developed in ECO member states i.e Iran, Turkey, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan (Samarkand).
