ECOSF participated in the Conference on Sustainable Cyber Secure Pakistan Vision 2030 hosted by SDG Academy, PISA and Security Experts

On December 13, 2023, the ECO Science Foundation (ECOSF) participated in the "Conference on Sustainable Cyber Secure Pakistan Vision 2030, organized by the SDG Academy Pakistan, Security Experts Pvt Ltd and the Pakistan Information Security Association (PISA). The conference highlighted the "Cyber Secure Pakistan" initiative led by PISA, with the goal of securing the country on cyber fronts to ensure the smooth functioning of society and the economy. CSP serves as an open dialogue platform, fostering collaboration between the State, civil society, policy makers, enablers, and experts in the field. The initiative encourages tech-talks, focused panel discussions, and networking opportunities to address the diverse stakes and interests in cyber security.
The conference aimed to address the pressing need for sustainable cyber security practices in Pakistan bringing together experts from various sectors to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and solutions in the field. On behalf of ECOSF, President Prof. Seyed Komail Tayebi and Engr. Khalil Raza actively engaged in the conference.
Mr. Ammar Jafferi, Chairman of PISA, delivered the welcome speech to set the tone for the conference. Industry experts presented speeches covering global best practices in achieving sustainable cyber security in Pakistan. The primary objectives were to engage relevant stakeholders from both the private and public sectors in discussions surrounding emerging trends, challenges, and solutions in cyber security. Specific topics included discussions on Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Digital Forensics.
Representatives and participants hailed from diverse backgrounds, including Defence Forces, Police Department, FIA, Banks, and various private sector organizations. The conference addressed the evolving global cyber threats and the increasing frequency of data breaches.
